No, Smart Swimsuits are not see-through on the body thanks to our carefully designed prints and the correct choice of size. However, due to its properties, the fabric is quite thin and fully transparent before the image is printed on it, so the level of opacity may depend on the contrast of the print: more intricate images provide maximum coverage, while prints with solid-color areas look more revealing. If this is important to you and you prefer more coverage, choose a richer print that visually masks the body. The fabric works similarly to a medium-protection sunscreen with SPF 30-35. The material helps protect the skin from burns, redness, irritation, and photoaging.
After swimming in salt water, rinse the swimsuit in cool fresh water and do not leave it wet. We recommend hand washing only, in a mild soap solution at 20-30 °C. Also, whenever possible, avoid getting SPF products on the fabric, and avoid saunas, steam rooms, hydromassage, and rubbing against rough or abrasive surfaces.
This is explained by the structure of the fabric: the material is thin, porous, single-layered, breathable, and thanks to these properties dries much faster than regular swimsuits.
The compression properties of the fabric and our specially developed swimsuit cut provide excellent support for a fuller bust, while also flattering a smaller bust and visually shaping the figure. There is also an additional service available: special cups can be sewn into some swimsuit models.
Yes, the fabric lets some of the sun's rays through and moves with the body, so the tan develops gently through the material without leaving white marks. But this is not “complete transparency to the sun”: at the same time, the swimsuit provides protection comparable to SPF 30-35, depending on your skin's individual UV sensitivity.
The fabric allows the skin to breathe and feels more comfortable than regular swimwear - like a second skin. Even with this level of protection, please remember to avoid overall overheating in the sun and prolonged direct exposure to the rays.
